Thanks to everyone who gave me book pointers. Now Morgan's father has asked that I NOT get her the books. He says that she's just trying to set herself apart, and doing "weird religions" would be the way to do that and he doesn't want her to go "that route."
Well FEH. I personally think that lessons on taking responsibility for your own actions would be something that would be very HELPFUL to the kid. It's not as if the kid is suddenly going to show up in school as Stevie Nicks or become Queen Goth of the Purple Doom or something. I personally think it would be good for her, and I'm going to order the books and see whether or not I like them first, then pass them on to her.
