COVEN BYLAWS
Name:
Coven of Non Fluffy Wicca
Purpose:
To Seek our True Will through all applicable means, building upon the foundation of UEW.
Article I: Membership
Membership: No individual may be denied membership on the basis of gender, race, ethnic background, sexual preference, physical handicap, or age, providing s/he has attained the age of majority. Membership in the coven consists of Three Circles, in accordance with the bylaws of UEW.
The Coven of Non Fluffy Wicca is both a teaching and working coven, teaching and worshipping in the UEW tradition. All members of the coven either are now or will become members of UEW.
Membership Status: Any person’s membership or participation may be curtailed, suspended, or terminated by decision of the Kestra.
Article II: Coven Hierarchy
The Kestra
There is only one Kestra. And She is Me. If anyone would like to be the Kestra, they must wait for a future incarnation. They may also submit their own Coven Charter to UEW and become their own Kestra. The Kestra will appoint people to various positions in the Coven as or if it becomes necessary. These people will serve at the discretion of the Kestra.
Article III: Finances
Finances:
The Kestra may elect to charge membership dues to cover operating expenses, or to levy fees for particular events or projects. However, no money will be charged for teaching “The Craft.” Sharing of expenses will be permitted under the auspices of the UEW bylaws.
Article IV: Gifts
All members of the Coven may shower The Kestra with gifts at any time, or may make contributions of items or money to the Coven for Coven use.
Article V: Lessons
Lessons will be based on the online UEW lessons currently listed through the Coven of the Far Flung Net. Various other lessons may be offered as well, at the discretion of The Kestra and The Membership. All deadlines will be determined on an individual basis.
Article VI: Events
The Coven of Non Fluffy Wicca may elect to hold public rituals, trips, parties and festivals open to all members; or semi-public rituals, trips, parties and festivals open to selected non-members. Each event will specify who may attend (i.e. Coven Members, guests, etc.) In no event will children under 18 years of age who are not children of a Member, be allowed to attend any events.
Article VII: Maintenance of the Coven
If The Kestra gets fed up, incapacitated, or otherwise annoyed, she may dissolve the Coven. In that event, no one has the authority to use the name “Coven of Non Fluffy Wicca” in connection with any other Pagan organization. Do not taunt happy fun intellectual property lawyer.
Article VIII: Common Sense
No Coven member may reveal the name, craft name or any identifying information of any other member to individuals outside the Coven without permission from that person. Disclosure of confidential information may be cause for your expulsion without warning. No Coven member may speak for the Coven without the express permission of The Kestra. If you annoy The Kestra, she has the obligation to inform others in UEW of the transgression so that they “know what they are buying” if you decide to attempt to join any other UEW group. Play nice with each other, and no whining.
Article IX: Ethos
Members and prospective members are expected to abide by the Five Points of Wiccan Belief of CUEW.
