The Non Fluffy Coven for the "rest of us."

So, you're interested in Wicca, and you'd like to join a coven that has lots of learning as a basis, and you'd maybe even like to meet people who aren't dressed like Stevie Nicks, sprinkling "Faery Dust" everywhere, and waving a Rainbow Brite wand, mindlessly chanting "harm none" and believing even contradictory information rather than analyzing claims and pontifications because they came from someone "too important to be wrong?" Would you instead like to deal with a group of intellectually minded individuals who don't mind having lots of fun while not taking themselves so seriously that any questions would be taken as an insult?

Are you annoyed with people who write "u" for "you" and "ur" for "your" and otherwise bastardize and destroy the English language while not caring about misspellings and grammatical errors that make their writings look like those of an immature moron?

Are you willing to do the work necessary to actually LEARN something you may not have known before? Are you willing to work to a deadline, research and proofread your papers, and then defend your positions?

Are you an "Advanced Practitioner" of Wicca who wants to learn more? Please note that "Advanced Practitioner" means that you've actually been STUDYING Wicca for at least 2 years. "I've been Wiccan since before I knew what it was" does NOT count, but good try. Neither does "I read a book." You should have read MANY books, and not just from one author or on one subject. You should also be capable of intelligently articulating WHY you have chosen Wicca as your religion in positive terms, and not becuase "it is not my old religion."

If you agree with all of these things, then guess what? The Coven of Non Fluffy Wicca might just be where you belong. Read on :-)

The Coven of Non Fluffy Wicca is a a Coven under Universal Eclectic Wicca and abides by its structure and bylaws. If you are a beginner or new to the Wiccan Faith, please see the Coven of the Far Flung Net which will give you information about how to apply for that online teaching coven. The Coven of Non Fluffy Wicca is for advanced practitioners who already have a solid grounding in Wicca, and can work at a faster pace. It's hard work, but it's very worthwhile.
